DARREN WARD (Founder)
I started my barbering journey in 1987 and purchased my first shop in 1992, a location that has been home to a barbershop since 1922. In 2009, I moved into John Creed’s barbershop, and in 2018, I settled into our current shop. I truly value the relationships I’ve built through my work. I enjoy meeting new people and cherish the friendships I’ve made with regulars, watching young clients grow up and then bringing in their own children for haircuts. Observing the evolving styles and fashions over the years continues to be a fascinating part of my career.
BAYLEY GRANT (Owner)
I’ve been a barber for nearly a decade, working with all types of hair and enjoying every moment. What I love most about barbering is the blend of creativity and social interaction—it’s never just about the cut; it’s about the people and their stories. In the summer of 2024, I was thrilled to take over Bourne Barbers, a well-established shop that’s been serving the community for over 100 years. I’m excited to continue this legacy, bringing my own touch to both traditional and modern styles, and ensuring our shop remains a cornerstone of the community for many more years.
KURTIS CLARKE (Senior Barber)
I’ve been crafting stylish cuts for five years, and for the last three, I’ve proudly been a part of the Bourne Barbers team. Holding Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, I not only bring expertise but also a passion for making every client’s experience both fun and comfortable. I thrive on building relationships with my customers, ensuring each visit leaves them feeling fresh, confident, and looking their best.
JOE WESTLAKE (Junior Barber)
I’ve been in the barbering industry for two years, having honed my skills at barbering college. I truly enjoy the social aspect of this profession, and there’s nothing better than the opportunity to give our customers fresh, new haircuts. It’s the daily interactions and the smiles on clients’ faces after a transformation that make every day rewarding.
LUCA GREENLEY (Junior Barber)
I’ve been immersed in the art of barbering for a year, embracing every day as a chance to learn and refine my skills. I take great joy in the creativity each haircut brings, exploring different techniques to suit each customer’s unique style. What I love most is engaging with my clients, making them feel confident and refreshed after each visit. My journey in barbering is fueled by the constant innovation and the personal connections I build along the way.
